The Ledger Project

The ledger is a gigantic leatherbound record, dating back to 1840, filled with entries maybe about ward tax collections. Every painting of a Jersey City building eventually makes its way into these pages. Sometimes they're studies, sometimes they're afterthoughts, and sometimes they're simultaneous creations.⁠
